Bean bag couches, spicy snacks and a massive screen, with 200 plus movie buffs, in an open air experience – this is how the DIFF Movie Festival ended at The Beach Jumeira last evening. DIFF’s Open Air Screenings in Partnership with Meraas at The Beach was a nostalgic moment for people who have tasted the ‘Talkies Movie Culture’ way back in 1970s in some parts of the world, where movie watching was a dramatic scene sitting on piled sand. Though Dubai open air was not aiming at a retro experience, it touched upon the memories of those days while watching the movie –‘The Space Between Us’, last evening at THE BEACH @ JBR. It was a wholesome experience, slouching in a comfy bean bag by stretching legs over the sand, amidst skyscrapers and chill breeze of the beach. Luxury at its best…free of cost.

The DIFF (Dubai International Film Festival) is one of the most glamorous shows hosted by the UAE, and its 13^th Edition was held from 7^th to 14^th December 2016. The 14^th Edition – DIFF 2017 – will be held from 6^th to 13^th December 2017, and without doubt, is a much anticipated one.
