Positioned between the pale pink Hajjar Mountains and the aqua blue Arabian Sea, is the tiny strip of wharfage and the lives of people entangled with the row of boats docked on its coast. The place, dubbed as Al Rams Fishing Village, lounges on the northern stretch of UAE, in Ras Al Khaimah. Translating the silent ambience of this Emirate, the boat quay remained as if on a deep meditation. It seemed as if even a stone thrown into the water would be startling and thunderous.
Unlike the generic image about the Gulf Coasts, Al Rams Fishing Village lacks high-raise buildings, atleast on its neighbourhood, flocked with people whose life and lifestyle are crafted by their job. On a dull afternoon, while some of them retired to a break, some others continued to prepare themselves and their boats, for their upcoming trips to the deep sea in search of fish and to bring back the colossal catch.
