The Chinese lanterns that veiled the sky had a perfect playmate – the breeze from the river. And the Chinese music gave them the right energy to celebrate the Chinese New Year with the pompous fun. Dubai Parks & Resorts had set up the festive in the best match with a Chinese open market that sells fun and joy.

Alongside the river where boats cruise, tiny shops with live demos of handicrafts, paper-arts, sugar candy with traditional shapes, momos, wow-performances etc., attracted people. Chinese tea, silk, live games, umbrellas – many things that are typical of a Chinese tradition had a place in the market. Street Entertainments, Chinese Puppetry, Sichuan Face Changing Opera, Traditional Dance, Circus – were a few of the live shows that saw people gathered around them.
And the day ended with a play of colors in the sky – the fireworks!
